Device Setup Keeps Crashing #21

Open wacko1805 opened 1 year ago

There is a known issue where Device Setup keeps crashing. The next releases will hopefully fix this issue by disabling the setup app by default.

Current Fix: Disable the app manualy.

Hi,

Don't understand what the device setup is, however, the Play Store is crashing for me :(

I installed A13 version from sourceforge in A12L, what is the proper version of the module to use for me?

Any workarounds on the crashing thing? When to expect the new release?

wacko1805 commented 1 year ago

What android version are you using and what MagiskGApps version are you using?

GEkuL commented 1 year ago

@wacko1805 android 12L MagiskGapps: A.13.Core.10.16.2022

wacko1805 commented 1 year ago

Please use the Android 12L version of MagiskGApps

@wacko1805 Could you please add the link to the site into readme, cause it's not clear, where to download the module (:

Also, have the setup crashing issue already been resolved, so you closed the issue not because of answering to my comment here?

The link to download the module is in the readme already, and was on mobile and misclicked. Reopening issue.

The site is still in development so not fully releasing it yet.

So I installed AOSP 13 from here and installed Magisk fully. Then I installed the A13 MagiskGApps - Stock. I thought it had broke my ROM as it sat at the Android boot screen (and was doing the little shimmer thing so it wasn't frozen) for about 10 minutes I left it. Then I finally restarted it, then it got to that screen again, and about 20 seconds later, restarted by itself and then finally went through and was installed.

Should I be worried?
