Prerequisite for delete teammate and delete task states that there should be multiple teammates or tasks in the list respectively.

Commands work with even single in the list.

The result of deleting a task when there are 1 or multiple tasks will be the same. The product will still be usable, and the reader will still have achieved the desired outcome.
