Develop code to generate synthetic wearable sensor data for use in unit-tests or to show case software functionality. If such code already exists, try to improve it.
Step counting:
Develop, implement or improve an algorithm for step detection.
Counts:
Map out the various movement counts from the 20th century and to what extent they can be replicated with modern sensor data and make effort to implement this if no software exists. For example, the zero-crossing counts from the original Motionlogger as used by Sadeh 1987, or the Tryon 1996 counts as used by CSA.
