Right now it always seems to start on win22 for me, which it gets from samdb.get_root_basedn()

But I see more DC nodes when looking at Apache Directory Studio:

DC=DomainDnsZones
DC=ForestDnsZones

Right now there would be no way to browse to these at all.

It might be a good idea to look at what Directory Studio is doing for inspiration.

They have a top node called "Root DSE (8)" and under that are a few top-level branches only.
