Ubuntu 9.10下出现错误error: Font `fontset-courier' is not defined

Ubuntu 9.10是全新安装的，然后安装的Gnu Emacs 
23.1，按照您网页上的提示安装后
启动Emacs时出现以下错误：

Warning (initialization): An error occurred while loading
`/home/username/.emacs':

error: Font `fontset-courier' is not defined

To ensure normal operation, you should investigate and remove the
cause of the error in your initialization file.  Start Emacs with
the `--debug-init' option to view a complete error backtrace.

不知道应该如何解决这个问题？

忘了说明了，不是用的realse版本，用的是svn版本。

你搜索.emacs,把下面这段话注释掉就可以了
(when (and window-system is-after-emacs-23)
  (load "my-fontset-win")
  (if mswin
      (huangq-fontset-courier 17)
    ;; (huangq-fontset-dejavu 17)))
    (huangq-fontset-fixedsys 17)))
