Could you update this to work for today's clients?

Hi, Thanks for opening an issue. I haven't revisited this project in years, and I'm a bit busy lately, but I could try to give it a go one of this days.

I guess we need to update the Ubuntu itself, and install Java 17.

Any particular version you are interested in??

I'm on Ubuntu LTS (22.04 or later) Java version doesn't matter if it doesn't affect which servers the client can work with? I don't fully understand the limitations. Do the Java Edition clients only work with Java Edition servers ?

Hi @wakaru44 , I'd be interested in an updated version of this too. Anything from Minecraft version 1.8 upwards.
