I will provide a video later... once I set up OBS, because I don't think this is something a simple screenshot can demonstrate, because I think it has some ties to the text to speech interfaces that blind folks such as myself use. So stay tuned for that later in the week. But the issue is like this:
Latest version of Office
Windows 10 Version 20H2
Latest Wakatime plugin installed via a Microsoft Installer database file
My computer always has extra background processes running due to the fact I use a screen reader and/or a Braille display to interact since my vision is shot. The combination of Word, JAWS for Windows (though I'm sure the free NVDA will display this behavior too), and the Wakatime extension installed in Word seem to make Word freeze, and then after I manage to tab through to another window and back to Word, I can eventually read and author text as normal (however, no data is synchronized with the dashboard.) The real oddity happens when I try to close any document in Word after saving:
Close the open document
Close Word
JAWS, at least, notices an extra window with a title bar of Word even after all documents are closed and the application has been fully closed out (ALT+F4 for the win.) Said window is not able to be closed at all via keyboard interactions; I have not had anyone sighted attempt it with the mouse. I have never seen word do this prior to now.
