I can't reproduce this. Try to localize problem - remove some plugins, some
torrents
and check again.

I did some tests and now i think i know what makes that problem.

I have a lot of torrents added to rtorrent. (about 80, about 400 gb)
I think ruTorrent is makeing too many queries to rtorrent and that is crashing
him.

When I keep only 10 torrents on my list it looks working ok.

I tested clean 2.6, without plugins.

Version 2.5 do not have that problem, i could have as many torrents as i want.

I can give you access to my shell, i think it'll give you more informations
what you
need to fix that.

Uff I forgot, after rtorrent start, all of that torrents are hashing, so
rtorrent was
busy with that when he crashed.

1) On what operating system? What load average you can see after run "top"
command?
2) Increase gui update interval in webui options.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start rtorrent
2. Go to the your rutorrent webpage

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expected to see working rutorrent but instead of

[17.08.2009 18:06:40] Bad response: (500) Link to XMLRPC failed. May be,
rTorrent is
down?

And in the same time rtorrent catch sigfault

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

#uname -a
Linux amanda 2.6.29-gentoo-r5 #1 SMP Sun Jul 26 22:38:36 OMSST 2009 x86_64
Intel(R)
Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux

rtorrent-0.8.4-r1 USE="daemon xmlrpc -debug -ipv6"

xmlrpc-c-1.18.02 USE="cgi curl cxx -abyss -threads -tools"

rutorrent 2.6

Please provide any additional information below.

It works fine when rtorrent session list is clean. But some torrent-files make
rutorrent to sigfault rtorrent...
By itself rtorrent works fine, even with that sessions, but if I try to enable
rutorrent it fails.
I trying to find out what torrents make this but I still found nothing...

In early versions of rutorrent the same

It seems that problem is not in rutorrent but in xmlrpc-c

http://libtorrent.rakshasa.no/ticket/1329

I'll try to use this fix later when problem appear again. Right now I've just
clean
my session list

1) I ask to you question in Issue37.
2) That problem is really in xmlrpc, but it is described in ticket
http://libtorrent.rakshasa.no/ticket/1330.
3) You can simple download rTorrent 0.8.5.
