During the "A Probe Alone" quest where you have to bring the ENFER scout back to a system and dock it, you can complete the quest with any scout ship, even a freshly made one. Also I labeled it "ESG Bug" but it could be vanilla, wouldn't be the first Sophon Scientist Quest bug from Vanilla.
EDIT: I just checked and it doesn't seem to happen in vanilla, so it is safe to assume it's an ESG bug.
