Restoring previous state after sleep mode

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load some book (I tried PDF)
2. Turn the table into sleep mode (I'm not sure how is it professionally 
called, hibernate?).
3. Wake-up the Tablet. 

What is the expected output?
The EbookDroid contains the book opened at the same place where I left reading

What do you see instead?
Black screen. Bottom message about "Restoring previous state" 
("Восстанавливаю предыдущее состояние" in 
russian).

I need to go away from the book and return back, and here the book is loaded on 
the first page instead of the last page where I was before sleep mode

What version of the product are you using?
Downloaded Up-to-date version from Google play

On what operating system?
Android 4.3

What device are you using?
Google Nexus 7 2012

Please provide any additional information below.
The problem is reproduced regularly.
