Some way to open puzzles from gmail #7

I subscribe to Peter Gordon's Fireball crosswords, which he sends out over
email. Currently, the only way I know to get them into Shortyz is to download
them on a computer and copy into the Crosswords directory via USB. Do you know
of any way to get them directly into Shortyz?

Using the "Gmail" app there is only a Preview button, not Download. I tried
using "AttachSave" but it corrupted the puzzle file (adding some HTML stuff
around the outside, etc). I tried going to gmail.com in the browser and was
able to "download" the file but it wouldn't open. Is there a way to make
Shortyz register some sort of intent so that the browser knows what to do with
.puz downloads?

I created a patch for this issue so i could download Matt Gaffney's weekly
puzzle (http://crosswordcontest.blogspot.com/). It involved a change to the
AndroidManifest to recognize the puzzle file, and to the HttpDownloadActivity
to handle the attachment. Both files are attached or can be pulled from my
shortyz clone at
https://levan.matthew@code.google.com/r/levanmatthew-desktop-downloader/, I'm
not sure which is more convenient.
