Tomcat5.0.57+Java Glassware: org.apache.jasper.el.ELContextImpl cannot be cast to org.apache.jasper.runtime.ELContextImpl #647

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Deploy glass-java-starter-0.1-SNAPSHOT.war to Tomcat 7.0.57
2.Navigate to localhost://8080/glass-java-starter-0.1-SNAPSHOT
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
AFAIK the login screen is the expected output

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
The error occurs with Tomcat7.0.57 and Java6 (and also Java8) on Mac 10.10 
(Yosemite)

Please provide any additional information below.
The error does not occur with Tomcat6.0.43 and Java6 (untested with Java8)
