Is this not quite similar to Sparta? The "resource centric" API on top of 
rdflib?

I think a module like this does not belong in core rdflib, but I would 
encourage you 
to continue to develop it separately. (And have a look at sparta :)

Perhaps at some future date we can revisit adding such an interface to rdflib, 
but for now I agree with drew that 
this is best developed separately, at least for now.

Agreed. Apart from this code and Sparta, there's also Oort, RdfAlchemy and SuRF 
providing similar object mappers for RDF (using RDFLib).
