Implements gas smoothing, using fucked up and evil tricks to avoid needing to use the general smoothing system.
I've also had to implement something similar for both sparkles and the hallucination, I optimized the latter as a joke too.
I have transitioned plasma over to the new system, but the rest of the gases have not yet been handled. This work will be hard, since their current animations are both long and also bad.
