Will I see the ability to access Google notes from my application any time 
soon?  I want to sync 
to/from Google notes on the web and via iPhone.

By Notes, I'm guessing you mean Notebook?  Access to data is data is done via 
the
Google Data APIs (http://code.google.com/apis/gdata/) and we have another 
project for
provided Obj-C wrappers to those apis
(http://code.google.com/p/gdata-objectivec-client/), which already supports 
Notebook.

The only APIs I see in exploring link 1 apply only to a user's public notebooks 
and do not allow me to edit, 
change, add to, replace, or sync Notebook notes with notes in a seperate Mac 
note application.  Link 2 does 
not work for me.
