It appears when using moar to display man pages, the text is flowed to fit the window size before line numbers are prefixed. This causes many lines to extend beyond the right margin.
Using right-arrow once does shift the document left which removes the line numbers and fits the text properly in the window. It could be argued line numbers are silly in this case but the default is for them to be enabled.
