I have not yet written anything around converting to mono repo: https://github.com/wallymathieu/assertfail/issues/108 The main takeaway was that our project was a single team:

a few libraries shared by many services
some services mostly managed by one or two persons (but very dependent on shared code)

We're using Nx recently, to pretty great effect. But purely for React applications with shared functionality. Great tool.
