A prior PR changed the library used for subscriptions and not sure it's actually working well (verifying with the demo). Maybe a problem in my env, but not certain.

Making progress on this. I'm not sure what changes in lacinia triggered this behavior change.

Not a bug in lacinia-pedestal, was caused by https://github.com/walmartlabs/lacinia/issues/440 fixed in lacinia 1.2.1.
