if you put things in a glossary.md file they get highlighted throughout the text and stored in a glossary at the end. http://toolchain.gitbook.com/lexicon.html

It gets super obtrusive though since it's highlighting every instance of that word, not just special marked cases. Good example is 'topic', which comes up all over the place.
