crash at end of story #90

Thank you so much for the wonderful Frotz for the iPhone and iPod
Touch. I never could have imagined, 20+years ago, that I would one day
have an entire catalog of interactive fiction in my pocket.

I've discovered a potential problem though. I uploaded Planetfall and
severall other Infocom .z files to Frotz on my iPod. I played
Planetfall all the way through and when I got to what I assumed to be
the last page the application crashed before I could read the
description. Luckily I had recently saved and was a able to go back
and try again several times, each try yielding the same results- upon
reaching the presumably final entry of Planetfall, Frotz suddenly
quits the story and goes back to the story list.

I can't rule out that this isn't a problem with the Planetfall .z
file. (Planetfall is the only title I've played through so far) But I
wonder if this is within Frotz itself. When I quit a game I'm playing,
or are killed, Frotz does the same thing, returning to the story list
before I've had a chance to read the score (I see it flash on the
screen for less than a second before the page closes). So could this
be a bug in Frotz? Is it possible and necessary to add a "press any
key to continue" or somehing?

I'm using an iPod Touch OS 3.1.2 and Frotz 1.3

btw, I notice a lot of "how do I FTP?" comments regarding Frotz. I too
struggled with this, having never done it before. I'm using Windows
XP, and the process seemed unnecessarily complicated. Then I
downloaded SmartFTP. The program is still slightly complicated, but
when it opened for the first time with the file transfer open in Frotz
it automatically detected and connected with a simple prompt from me.

Thanks again for sharing the great great app. I would happily pay
$0.99 several times for this.

Fixed in 1.4.

Note this isn't actually a crash; it just doesn't give you time to read the
final text before returning to the
story list. I've added 'tap to continue' behavior to fix this.

Btw, the new web file transfer should be much easier to use and you don't need
to mess with any FTP clients.
