Feature request: indicator that's shows how many items were found #31

I would like to see an indicator that's shows how many items were found so
that you know how good your search query is. So that you don't start
scrolling down a list that's a few hundred items long (worst case).

It could be a number or some sort of graphical indicator. For example some
small bars, one for every full page (if 10 items fit at once on the display
then 30 items would be "- - -").

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
QuickGold 1.1.1 on iPhone 3G 2.1

I don't see the need that much. Why do you want to know how good the query is?
If you
see the result, you've got it. If you haven't, type more characters. Or is there
something I am not understanding?

Well, I can see how that wouldn't be useful for most people and it really
should get
a very low priority. Also I don't know how many search results QuickGold is
gonna
support. So maybe this scenario is totally fictional. But imagine you search for
something and get (exaggerated) 100 search results and the one you want is
number
100. You don't know that you got 100 results and don't know that your result is
the
last. You can't see your result right away but it could just be number 6 and
under
the keyboard. So you start scrolling and realize your result is not just hidden
under
keyboard and continue scrolling and scrolling... It's like with google when you
search for something and get 1 billion results you may wanna try a better query
before going through all these results ;)
