Home button collides with built-in action in 2.2 (1.3.4) #79

In firmware 2.2, the home button is used on SpringBoard to return to the first
page. This collides
with QuickGold's trigger! I'm living with it (but not enjoying compromising the
system behavior),
but a friend of mine won't use QuickGold until it can be activated in a
different way.

In a future revision, could we have configurable triggers, or at least a
different one? Here are a
few ideas:
• Single tap (as now)
• Single tap (but only when we're already on the first SpringBoard page) (I
really like this one)
• Double tap (opens up interesting possibilities in using QuickGold to switch
apps without ever
hitting SpringBoard)
• Slow double tap (just slightly slower than the system action)
• Triple tap (meh)
• Tap-and-hold (for 400ms or so) (but make sure it won't interfere with the
built in 10-second
kill)

Otherwise, I've been loving QuickGold! Makes navigating the app forest much
easier.

I would be in favor of double tap. Make it an option though, as zataang has
said he
does not want to override Apple settings, such as double tap launch favorites.
