This functionality is now in the latest version of the Productivity tools
extension. This is a free extension and they just recently added the same
capabilities as what metal scroll does. Install the extention here
http://visualstudiogallery.msdn.microsoft.com/d0d33361-18e2-46c0-8ff2-4adea1e34f
ef?SRC=VSIDE

and then right click on the scroll bar and select "Show Full Mode". ENJOY :o)

Fantastic! Works well, although it crashes for me when clicking "Don't show
this again" for the Tabify message.</offtopic>

Unless I missed something the Powertools scrollbar doesn't support
double-click-highlight-all-instances. That was the single best thing ever. I
would like metascroll to support 2010 just to have this feature back.

The Microsoft replacement is pretty bad. It does not actually draw the code,
but draws every n'th line on big files. This means the view doesn't actually
look like the code. As mentioned before, it's also missing highlight all
instances.

Finally, it seems to be very slow. It takes a visible amount of time to draw
and continually redraws while typing which slows everything down.

Overall it's just not as good as metal scroll.
