Application could not be verified during Sync process. #84

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. iPod Touch 2nd Gen with OS 2.2
2. Siphon added to applications in iTunes on WIN XP-Pro PC.
3. Try to sync the apps with the iPod

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: Complete sync.
Instead: Error window appears at end of sync process with, "The 
application "Siphon" could not be installed on the iPod "ipod name" 
because it could not be verified."
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Tried 20080519, 20080525, and 20080526, iTunes 8.0.2.20, WinXP-Pro SP3.

Please provide any additional information below.
Not much more, should be a simple install...

The version downloaded are compiled for iPhone OS 1.X. So it's logic they don't 
work
on iPod Touch 2 ;-).

I'm waiting an answer from Apple for AppStore. In parallel I'm preparing 
version for
Cydia.
Could you wait some days ?
