What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. download gmpy-1.11rc1.win-amd64-py3.1.exe
2. Run it
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Completed installation of gmpy-1.1rcl.
Instead I'm told can't find Python 3.1

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
gmpy-1.11rc1.win32-py3.1.exe installed without a problem. 64-bit Vista SP1.

Please provide any additional information below.

Do you have the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Python 3.1 installed? The GMPY 
binary
needs to match the Python version and not just the OS.

If you will be working with very large numbers, the 64-bit version of Python 
will
give better performance but you'll need to make sure that you have 64-bit 
versions of
all your other extensions.
