\makebackcoverXII gives error of missing }

I think this issue is probably unrelated to the adsphd.cls class, but just in case I'm posting it here.

This error occurs when I run pdflatex thesis.tex or build using visual studio code. When I use python3 run.py I don't get the error, probably because it just ignores it.

This was due to me entering the following in the email field, which seems strange:
