Phone number should allow the adding of a phone code if you allow it to be at most 20 digits #11

Phone numbers in Singapore have only 8 digits. More than 8 digits or less than 8 digits means that it will be a different country. We should allow phone codes to be added here too...

Team's Response

Thanks for your report.

Our team thinks that this is not a bug.

We think that the user can just put the phone codes just before the phone number. For example, if the user wants to store a phone number +65 12345678 into PlaceBook, he can just put it as 6512345678 and it is a correct way to put phone codes like this.

Whether to limit the format of the phone number is a question we have considered for a long time. We know that it is useful to allow some characters to appear in the phone number. But at the same time, we want to make the phone number stored in contacts be directly dialable, so that it is easier for the user to manage them, and we can easily connect to the mobile phone in future versions.
