since time of event is not a field i think duplicate events could be a possible thing for this app as throughout a day /hackathon

there are probably multilple events that may be of the same category and name and date

This is to prevent confusion about the same events that may happen on the same day and it is not intuitive to add in the exact same events with the same name, date, and category multiple times

Reason for disagreement: it is very intuitive

You would expect events to all be squeezed into a few days in a hackathon such as a sponsor talk, which can happen multiple times a day so you need the functionality to include MULTIPLE sponsor talks on the same day, with the same name and same category

not allowing this would cause a huge hindrance to the event organiser users

in fact, fixing this bug can be convincingly argued to be essential for the app to be reasonably useful, as organisers wont be able to accurately input event details

so this should be an accepted feature flaw
