Wish list - fully functional preview for graph axes

It would be great if the "preview" in the graph axes setup dialog box were a 
copy of exactly what will appear in the main window - so you can see the effect 
of changing the min and max values as well as the grid checkbox.

Doesn't need to happen if this is very hard, but perhaps the existing code can 
be re-used to draw the preview the same way it draws the real image.

I use a simple table for this as of now, seems to do the job, but isn't really 
a fully working example, I don't think this would be too complicated, does the 
existing table example suffice?
