Unable to install - "Not compatible with your operating system or architecture: inotify@1.4.1" #41

Hello

I can't install bardjs. I get the following error:

Not compatible with your operating system or architecture: inotify@1.4.1

My system: node v5.12.0 npm v3.8.6 OSX El Capitan 10.11.6

I realise this is - almost certainly - an issue with inotify, but as it's clearly a dependency of bardjs, this is clearly an issue. Can anyone please advise a fix?
