Compatibility Alternative PSU with 1.8Amp Lisa Power Supply #1

Firstly, I'd like to express my gratitude for creating an alternative PSU for the Lisa. It's wonderful to see solutions like this being developed for the community.

I've noticed that the design you've shared is for the replacement of the 1.2 Amp power supply. I was wondering if this design is also compatible with, or can be adapted for, the 1.8Amp version of the Lisa Power Supply?

If it's not directly compatible:

Thank you for your time and dedication to this project.

I can't speak for Warmech or the project but the power supplies should be pin compatible just like the originals (you can use the 1.2 and 1.8 original power supplies interchangeably.) The only difference would be the total power input and output which can be changed with an appropriate selection of the internal power supplies during the build (obviously within limits.)

Strangely, the original 1.2 and 1.8 both list the max output as 150W. The suggested Pico ITX can output +12.0 at 18A and +5 at 8A (as well as the problematic -12.0 at 200mA.) The driving 12V power supply suggested is rated at 12V@15A = 180W.

The only difference other than the power between the 1.2 and 1.8 supplies would be the drilled holes in the PCB. From what I can see by lining up the original power supply cases, the screw holes line up on the top and bottom holes (5 in total). The middle holes (2 in total for the 1.8) are not in the same location w.r.t. the 1.2A and 1.8A power supplies. They could be drilled manually and/or added to the design as additional holes although one of the 1.8 holes is close to where the Pico ITX would be located.

I hope this helps.

I have send the gerber files for manufacturing. So, within a couple of days I will get the PCBs. And I share my experience with you all.

I have some issues building the PSU. Would it be possible to show me a picture of what is below the Pico ATX PSU? And can you tell me how you connected the Pico ATX PSU to the base board?
