Plot Matplotlib figures in the terminal #2184

Describe the solution you'd like?

It would be great to have a way to plot figures in the terminal, this would make my nvim+ipython workflow a dream, currently I either use plotext package to plot (not exactly what I want) or mostly run things finally in vscode to run Jupyter notebook.

Matplotlib integration available below but kitty implementation never worked for me... https://github.com/oselivanov/matplotlib_iterm2 https://github.com/jktr/matplotlib-backend-kitty
