Hey @polluks2, thanks for reporting. Could you provide more context (ideally with a video) about what the issue is here? How does this compare when running cmatrix in another terminal? Thank you!

@polluks2 The cmatrix -c flag description mentions that it Requires appropriate fonts, I'm not sure which those are, but in order to have the screensaver and avoid installing the 'right' font altogether you can try https://github.com/will8211/unimatrix, it already comes with all the fonts you need ootb.
