Background Colour Quick Change Feature #2779

Describe the solution you'd like?

As a developer who wants a customisable theme for interfaces,
I'd like a quick way of choosing a background colour without manually editing an entire theme,
So that I can quickly change interface colour with ease.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

No response

Additional context

Context: I use the Solarized colour scheme, but would like to change just the background colour quickly to a hex-value without the need of creating a custom theme. This is also helpful as I share my screen in technical videos and would like to quickly set my terminal as the brand colour of the company I represent.

How important is this feature to you?

Thanks for this feature request @olliegilbey! We've talked internally about a better theme creation/modification experience built into the app so it's certainly something that is on the radar, just not officially on the roadmap given other priorities.

Please :+1: and subscribe to this request as it helps us gauge interest. We will post any updates here.

Me also, I just wrote a bash script and ssh alias to change my terminal colors when I connect to another server so that I know right off that I am not local. when the shell exits it returns to the basic color set. There are some linux terminal commands that do that, but I was having a difficult time with osx terminal.

+1 to this. We are using some script to automatically change the colors of iterm when connecting to production systems. I want to be able to do this on Warp

I want to change the background image depending on the ssh connection.

Is this feature available?

I can not find it somewhere on the settings so I guess this is not implemented yet. Am I correct?

Thanks

Would appreciate being able to apply a different profile/theme based on the current file/folder path as well.
