Split up "restore on startup" options for more control #5220

Dupe Check

Describe the solution you'd like?

I would like Warp to restore the last used window size on startup, but only that and nothing else.

currently the only option is to "Restore windows, tabs, and panes on startup" under "Features", which restores my last used tabs as well.

Please can this be split into two option (at least), such as "Restore window size and position on startup" and "Restore tabs and panes on startup"?

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

this is not directly related to any problems that I'm aware of, but it is exacerbated by the fact that "Open new windows with custom size" under "Appearance" settings do not seem to work (Zorin OS 17.1 with X11, have not tested under Wayland).

Additional context

note: I'm a fresh new user to Warp, but I've selected "5" for the issue importance because I refuse to switch my main terminal app to something where I have to explicitly resize my window every single time I launch it.

I have also searched the open issues list for similar requests, and I did see a number of them, but I did not find any that explicitly request that the startup restoration of "window size/position" and "tabs/pane contents" are split.

How important is this feature to you?

5 (Can't work without it!)
