Hi @softhepen, has this issue occurred with earlier versions of MacOS?

softhepen commented 1 month ago

Hi! The problem didn't occur with the previous version of MacOS, Sonoma. I update to Sequoia and it worked. Then, I update Warp and the problem occurred.

davidmelvin commented 1 month ago

Gotcha! Could you send us your Warp logs? Instructions here!

softhepen commented 4 weeks ago

Sorry for the late response, I didn't see the message. That's the log zip. I run Warp with the suggested command to capture more information. warp-logs.zip

davidmelvin commented 4 weeks ago

No worries! So is the original issue still ocurring?

softhepen commented 4 weeks ago

Unfortunately yes ☹️

davidmelvin commented 4 weeks ago

Ok! The issue might be related to your shell. I'd recommend we try to run Warp with zsh and bash shells and see if that works. If one of those shells work, we can diagnose what might be going on with fish by commenting our any fish configuration.

You can change your default shell with these instructions. Then try to run Warp again and send us the logs again.

By the way, what version of fish do you have installed at /usr/local/bin/fish? Checking because we only support fish versions 3.6 and later.

softhepen commented 4 weeks ago

The problem seems to be fish. I changed the default shell with zsh and now it works.

Adding that this same problem was happening to me today after updating to Warp v0.2024.10.15.08.02.stable_02 -- I'd been happily running with fish v3.0.2 for quite some time.

warp started working again after updating to fish v3.7.1
