optionally.. there are variations of the APK in the releases that don't even include the "Ad Blocker" functionality

The application is already three times larger. And the "data", which probably cannot be cleared, is about 60-50 times bigger than the app, according to izzyondroid

I refer to my earlier comment.

annecdotally, on the phone I'm using to test the app presently.. after clearing cache, Settings > Apps > WebMonkey > Storage reports:

this is:

so.. my guess is that you have some userscripts installed, which store a lot of data.

some do.. some of mine do.. and that's perfectly OK.. but it's not the app's fault.. if you don't like it, uninstall the heavy-weight userscript(s).

I just realized that I was running one version behind.. and installed v1.0.25

now.. settings reports:

I see this when I click "List Scripts".

By the way, the application has increased again. I clicked all the buttons before, including "Update Scripts", and that was it. 03482e22-9670-404b-9fd7-c9fb0cd1fdca.jpg

I didn't even go to the new pages

i don't know what to tell you.. you said you downloaded the app from a 3rd-party.. so maybe (as a test) you should uninstall the app you have, and install a fresh copy that you download from the releases page.. these are the only APKs that I can guarantee are signed by me.. and haven't been tampered with.

I got 4.98 megabytes after reinstalling b651583e-fae0-4c12-bef0-18c1af125873.jpg

( I updated the user scripts, went into the settings, pressed buttons, and opened some page )

  1. you just installed an english-only version.. which probably isn't what you want
  2. shrug..
    • maybe your phone is attibuting data stored by your System WebView to this app?
      ..which wouldn't make any sense
      • it's a shared component used by many apps
      • that's the only other place "data" could be hiding

..maybe Putin has figured a way to use this app on your phone to bomb a hospital or set fire to an orphanage?

sorry.. it's not you.. it's just evil what your country is doing. had to say it.
