Maybe it can be mentioned that Schweizerkasten https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schweizerkasten system also uses deep narrow frames like Warsaw hive. I don't know how popular are these hives, but found several sites offering these frames (https://www.imkereiausruester.ch/imkershop/raehmchen/raehmchen-brut-ch-mass-28mm/)

Thanks for the comment and another new hive to look into! You're right the Swiss hive probably should be highlighted since they appear to still be very well used in Switzerland. I've actually watched a few videos with these in bee houses but didn't appreciate what I was looking at at the time.

I need to have a bit of a website tidy up about how I present the various hives. The website has been a bit neglected as I've concentrated on real world beekeeping. I'll make sure the Schweizerkasten features in any updates. Thanks again, and if you come across any interesting links that I should include then please post them here. Cheers
