Windows Update doesn't work while list-update in progress #117

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

Bug submitted via email by user "me":

I just ran Windows Update. The page refused to load while PB was showing
the update screen (I'm not blocking Microsoft IPs nor have I ever done so).
Once update completed or I closed its window manually, Windows Update was fine.

Need to verify this one. If it can be reproduced, definitely targetting for 1.1

Just happened to me too. Didn't install until today when I saw the driver would
work
for vista 64. Only change I've made recently I think.

I cannot reproduce this problem. Can anyone post a reproducible test-case?
Here is
my repro-attempt:

On Win7 64-bit, Comodo firewall, Avast! antivirus:
- delete C:\Program Files\PeerBlock\lists\*.list to force it to download new
ones
- click Check Updates
- while updates are being downloaded, run Windows Update

Result: Everything runs as expected, no Windows Update issues seen.

I'm not sure if there is a certain order of steps, or timing, or specific
firewall/antivirus, something required to get the issue to show itself. If
people
can make sure to specify their machine configuration, that would be appreciated.

It's been two weeks without anyone posting any additional repro notes, so at
this
point I'm going to close this issue. If anyone has additional information to
share
on this problem please post them, and we can re-open it.
