Doesn't work on Mac OS montorey

After installing from app store, when the app is launched, it just bounces and doesn't open. It does consume a lot of CPU though.

On a 2015 Macbook Air

I downloaded the zip from the Releases page and the GUI opened for me (running Monterey on an M1 MacBook Pro).
