[PR] Issue build interface #132

@jeremyfelt Could you please review this when you get a chance? Or even more than that - feel free to make changes if you see anything that could be improved (I'm sure there's a lot)!

Aside from anything else that may come up, ways to 1) overwrite Headlines and 2) set background positions still need to be provided.
