Failed to upload file to Object Storage. #18

Closed JoshBoluga closed 6 years ago

JoshBoluga commented 6 years ago

I'm still getting this issue 99% of the time.

I would have re-opened the issue but I don't appear to have the ability to.

germanattanasio commented 6 years ago

HI @JoshBoluga, I'm sorry you are dealing with an error. Can you please provide a set of reproducible steps?

That will help us understand what the problem is.

JoshBoluga commented 6 years ago

The upload will start as normal. Progress meter will proceed but occasionally will jump back to the beginning. After it jumps back to the beginning a few times, it will stop and present the error "Failed to upload file to Object Storage."

As I mentioned in #11, I'm not sure if I'm in the right place for this issue. If I'm not, a) sorry and b) where should I be?

germanattanasio commented 6 years ago

Let me ask around and see if there is a place where you can open your issue

JoshBoluga commented 6 years ago

This issue still persists. Is there any update on this or where I should be asking about this? Many thanks.

germanattanasio commented 6 years ago

I asked and didn't get a response. I'm asking again.

Can you open an issue in https://console.bluemix.net/unifiedsupport/tickets/add

JoshBoluga commented 6 years ago

Thanks. I opened one: Ticket number: CS0031486

JohnnyKam commented 6 years ago

Can you invite me into your project? My email is kjohnny@ca.ibm.com

JoshBoluga commented 6 years ago

@JohnnyKam I tried but got this message "You cannot add kjohnny@ca.ibm.com to this restricted project. You can only add a member of your company (if your company has federated SAML with IBM Cloud) or a member of the project creator's IBM Cloud account. To add members of the project creator's IBM Cloud account, you must be a member of that account."

I can barely parse that.

JohnnyKam commented 6 years ago

In the header can you click on manage > account > users.

This will take you into IBM cloud, where you can invite me into your account. Once I'm in the account you should be able to add me as a collaborator in your project.

JoshBoluga commented 6 years ago

Okay, you're invited to the account. I'll add you as a collaborator once you're in. Thanks.

JohnnyKam commented 6 years ago

@JoshBoluga Please add me as a collaborator

JoshBoluga commented 6 years ago

I've added you as a collaborator (with Admin permission).

JohnnyKam commented 6 years ago

What browser and OS are you using? I was able to upload the files into object storage without any issues

JoshBoluga commented 6 years ago

I'm using macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 and Safari 11.1. I've also tried Chrome which produced the same behaviour.

JohnnyKam commented 6 years ago

I can't seem to reproduce it in Safari 11 or Chrome 66 or Firefox

JoshBoluga commented 6 years ago

I'm not sure if it's coincidence or related but our (extremely slow) internet connection was updated yesterday afternoon and I just managed to upload two of our datasets.

I'm not sure if this issue will still be applicable anyone else, but can't reproduce this now.

germanattanasio commented 6 years ago

it seems like it's working for you now @JoshBoluga so I'm going to close this issue.

Feel free to reopen it if you face this problem again.

nadamakram commented 6 years ago

I am having the same problem and I don't know what to do could you please help me?

bourdakos1 commented 6 years ago

@JoshBoluga @nadamakram how large are the files you are trying to upload?

nadamakram commented 6 years ago

It's 5.60 MB If it's big for Watson studio, Is there another way to upload?

I have the exact same issue on MacOS too ... Is there any solution ?

nadamakram commented 5 years ago

I discovered that the problem is my subscription is limited so I can't use that big size.
