The exact alpha-blending algorithm used for image layering is used during building phase (requires implementing around 6 algorithms, with testing, and then finding the right one, and also praying it's a single algo).
If the right algorithm is found, then the only delta patches we need are for:
any images allegedly hand-edited after generation
cases where the image does not reflect the metadata (true errors)
