Was that quick for a signup ;-)
Same here :) !
I'm in :)
Done!
Was I too late?
No wonder you've been a bit under the radar of late! Well done. Looking good. Very Good!
Done! Hope this version will have crisp font rendering on my PC :)
Got to say am mightly impressed with the new version so far want to play around a little more before I provide some feedback but 1st impressions are great.
New version is great, but also have some annoying bugs like lost sync between groups and tabs. Hope we will smash all of them during preview) Report already sent to support team
@Thomas101 Can I use this repo Issues section for reporting bugs of WB10?
@Thomas101 Can I use this repo Issues section for reporting bugs of WB10? @Thomas101 I have got the same question.
On the other side, any plans for the sandbox feature that the current WaveBox has it? Which is basically running the same apps in different environments? I want to run two different WhatsApps in the same profile.
@ToLive @mabdelfattah The best way whilst this is in the preview is through support so anyone looking through issues here don't get confused with the current live version
@mabdelfattah if you want some help, reach out to us on support. The new profiles replace sandboxing in this version. There's a little bit more info here on how to setup two side-by-side
I hope there are still some places 😁 You are doing a good job!
Just testing this out and its looking really good.
I think one development that would set this completely apart would be proxies per profile and also extensions per profile.
Never got a reply. I guess you got enough people testing on Linux. If not let me know. Cheers.
Would love to see support for the .deb version that will run on a Chromebook, that would be a game-changer, as it is at the moment ALL versions won't install the installer just throws an error. I suspect this is more to do with Chrome OS but am not sure, I can run Atom with no issues?
Hi, we just want to say a giant thanks to everyone that signed up for the preview and also to those who gave us some amazing feedback 😊. We've just released this for public release (Wavebox 10 launch blog).
Also just a quick apology to the last few users who signed up, we've been completely swamped with requests for the preview and have been pushing to get it out to everyone. We hope you understand! ❤️
If you're on the preview version you should be prompted to update shortly, (this will be the same as the other updates you've seen) and it will put you onto the public version, so there's nothing to do there 😎.
🆕 If you still want to keep trying out the latest features, the beta channel is now live. This needs you to re-download the app (but you won't have to set anything up again). There's some more info on the beta channel here. (It's just worth noting that the current beta is the same as the stable, but updates will land here first 🙂)
Didn't have enough time to congratulate you, @Thomas101, and the team. This new release is just fantastic. Answered all my whishes and I'm very proud to be a paying customer almost from day 1, soon after it switched from WMail. Updates are constantly improving the experience, conception is clear, simple and rich, support is at the top. Switching to chromium, you didn't loose the initial concept and spirit. I love Wavebox, I love you. ❤️
Thank you @phileasb you've made my Saturday :-)
I finally managed to find time to convert from classic into WBX and I am missing a Custom js
option for app.
I am using inoreader weblink (also noticed inoreader app), but app is missing unread count. In weblink I was getting number of unread articles from dom. (span#unread_cnt_all_items
in classic innoreader)
Could I somehow mimic the old function of custom js or this is not possible in WBX in general?

Right now you have more options for this than before. Use extensions :) For JS: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tampermonkey/dhdgffkkebhmkfjojejmpbldmpobfkfo?hl=en For CSS: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/stylus/clngdbkpkpeebahjckkjfobafhncgmne?hl=en

Can these be used to customize CSS for the Wavebox window itself like we could in the previous version?

They can't, but 10.0.35 has just shipped with the first run of the Wavebox extension APIs. We're looking to expand these for different use cases.
It would be great to know what you kind of support you need, whether it's consistent class names & a CSS injection like in the previous version, or something as simple as a few configuration settings in the theming API.
Do you want to open up a new issue with some extra details and we can go from there?
I can sum up my thoughts here, no need for a new extensive issue, I think...

Honestly, I'd prefer if Wavebox had an awesome and modern look and feel with a Window Chrome fitting for Windows 10 (the current one isn't, I can open up an issue just for that if you want) so that I wouldn't have to do any theming work myself :) But since that a great look and feel requires a great designer and probably a lot of work to the underlying UI components I'd be more than happy with consistent class names and a CSS injection feature like in the previous version.
My main frustration is space saving. Chrome has a very large top bar for tabs. Firefox is thiner and it makes a big difference. A Chromium based browser like Vivaldi offers possibility to completely personalize look and feel (even hiding tabs and address bar).
Any progress on the Custom CSS side of things @Thomas101 ?
Here at Wavebox HQ, we've been busy, heads down creating something new and magical which we're really excited about. It's the next iteration of Wavebox which we're calling Wavebox 10.
We want to keep everyone in the loop about what we've been working on and what you can expect over the coming few months. We'd also like some early testers who can give us some feedback on the new version of the app works.
🆕 What's coming...
Wavebox 10 has been rebuilt from the ground up, moving away from Electron as its base framework and instead building directly on top of Chromium (More info in our blog post). By doing this we're seeing some amazing performance, stability improvements, and are able to start implementing some of those long-requested features. Here are just a few highlights...
🙋 Testers wanted!
We're looking for some users to give us some really good feedback on how the new version of the app stacks up before we release it to the public beta and stable channels.
If the Wavebox 10 closed preview is something you'd like to try, fill out the Google Form below and we'll be in touch 😊. Places are limited so be quick!
