The UI randomly becomes unusable where the app groups and the apps tab row are covered by random blue streaks. It sometimes covers the content body. Rebooting the computer usually clears it up. It's happened in previous versions as well but I'm finally getting around reporting the bug.

Hi, thanks for reporting.

This is something that seems to be affecting a specific model of MacbookPro. Apple is aware of this and a fix should be shipping in BigSur (there's a huge discussion about it here https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1068170).

In the short term, there are a couple of things you can try, firstly disabling "Out of Process rasterisation" under chrome://flags. If that doesn't work disabling hardware acceleration under Setting > Advanced stops it happening. Obviously, neither are ideal!
