Allow OS native spell checking? [Finnish support] #134

Hello,

Looks really great so far!

My problem is that I frequently work in multiple languages. Some don't have a spell checker in Wavebox yet. At least OS X has good built in spell checking, so having it separately in Wavebox or waiting for some languages to get into Wavebox doesn't seem necessary.

Would it be possible to enable the native spell checking present in OS X (and other OS:es?)

Hi,

Ideally it would be good to use native spell checking, but the world of spell-checking is complicated :-(. macOS seems reasonably stable, but windows & linux has differing support depending on version. I think as a long-term goal we can look towards using the operating systems native spell-checker, but in the short term which languages have you found missing? I might be able to add them in!

Well I'm missing Finnish at the moment :)

Maybe you could add in an option to allow native checking (or another spell checking software)?

There's quite a bit of work involved in adding native spell-checking but will look into it. I've added finnish to #146 so will hopefully add this into the next release. Thanks!

Looking into this a bit further it doesn't look like Finnish is a language I can add into our existing spell-checker. It looks like it will have to be down the native route for this one!

Yeah.. Finnish can be complicated for computers :)

Getting native to work would free you from managing spell checkers. Native seems to work in many programs, why is it a problem now?

Electron & chromium don't have built-in support for native spell checking out of the box so it needs to be coded in. This twinned with the patchy support across different platforms is why we originally went down the route of using a hunspell which is open source and widely used on linux

I'm also Finnish and its very important to have working Spellcheck to use Wavebox in Corporate environment. I know that Finnish is a bit "fucked up" language for computer spellchecking. :)

Possible solution. Voikko: http://voikko.puimula.org/ Could someone take a look if this can help with spellchecking? This at least works smoothly with LibreOffice in Linux.

If you think Finnish is "fucked up" for computers then try Greek... I am using Linux and i actually need spellcheck support too...
