I seems that wavebox does not use the proxy setting in the profile even I have set that. The other profile works well. Strange.

Had to use ➜ ~ /opt/wavebox.io/wavebox/wavebox --proxy-server="http://127.0.0.1:7890" eventually. New wavebox seems to modify proxy setting somewhere.

It looks like the default cookie container isn't using the proxy server setting correctly, which is why I suspect you're unable to sign in. There's a fix heading out to the beta channel of Wavebox this week (https://wavebox.io/beta) and the stable version shortly thereafter
