Lost session when casting from Youtube on Galaxy S3

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Select a relatively long video (about 2 hrs)from the Youtube app to cast
2. Once cast is successful, press home button and perform other activities on 
the phone - cast will still be running in the background
3. After about an hour of the video being cast, go back to the phone and pull 
up the cast icon from the sys tray
4. Youtube will come up but the video starts from the beginning and plays on 
the phone
5. The cast video continues to play on the TV and there is no way to control 
the video on the TV
6. The session is lost between the TV and casting device

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
 - Expect to see the video controls but there is no way to control the video on the TV

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
OS: Android 4.1.2
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S3
App: Youtube
