Chromecast keeps losing wifi connectivity #65

I was able to set up my Chromecast without any issues. However, Chromecast 
keeps losing access to the wifi network. It connects for a couple of minutes 
and disconnects again for several minutes. It constantly does that and I can't 
get it to stay connected.

I'm using Xfinity's modem which has a built-in wifi router (model SMCD3GNV). 
Encryption is set to WPA2-PSK AES. MAC filtering is not enabled and UPnP is 
enabled. I tried disabling UPnP but that didn't help. I also changed the 
channel ID form 11 to 6 and to 1 but that didn't help either. The signal 
strength is not an issue since the router is 30 feet away from Chromecast. My 
SSID was set to not broadcast and changing that didn't make a difference.

I don't know what else to try. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
