Hayle and Trefethen discuss quadrature formulas from conformal maps in SIAM J. Numer. Anal. 46, 930 (2008), which may prove useful.

This is an interesting idea, and it looks like it's quite a bit better for exponential integrands - only question I'd have is whether or not these are sensible in conjunction with the radial transformations we employ for (semi-)infinite bounds, worth looking into though.
